Overseer Marvin E. Barner Jr. is a native of Hopkinsville, KY, and commenced his preaching ministry at an early age, but after a stint of walking away from the call of ministry, he was Re-licensed & Ordained under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth W. Paramore at United Baptist church in 2001.
God has favored Overseer Barner, by allowing explosive growth and outreach to accompany his ministry, by serving at various ministries, and most recently at Second Baptist Church Of Steubenville, Ohio where he served in numerous positions in both Ohio & Pennsylvania Conventions. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor/Teacher of The Shiloh Baptist Church in Chester, Pennsylvania and the Overseer Of Youth & Young Adults in The Lifted Reformation of Christian Churches.
Overseer Barner is the co-founder of Hope Dot Com, Evansville, Indiana, a ministry that has been dedicated in the States of Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, and soon Pennsylvania in feeding the homeless, providing life training skills for felons, clothing for the less fortunate, job placement, and court system advocacy for
juveniles and most recently the G.R.O.W. (God Rearranging Our Ways) initiative, with over 1000 graduating from the Corrections To Computers program.
Overseer Barner is a 2002 graduate of Moody Bible Institute with a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies, and is in pursuit of his (Dmin) from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
Overseer Barner is married to the former Paulnetta Wilcox. They have 3 children, Brian 30, Kaitlynn Amanda 17, Khyla Elizabeth 15, and 2 grandchildren. Brian Jr. 6 and Maliyah (Deceased 2013).
